Chili on the Cheap

So I've been reviewing all on my old recipes and cook books trying to figure out what would make good blog posts. I got HUNGRY. But alas, the only things in my cupboard were a can of diced tomatoes and a can of kidney beans left over from happier potluck times. What's a girl to make?



How about a: Cheap Chili Cook-off!!!

Oh yeah! Break out the garlic salt and giant bottle of hot sauce, cause we're stirring up a mess o trouble!


This did the job of making me not hungry, but I'm not sure if it was because of the month old salsa, or the dominant brown color scheme. It was indeed salty, and should probably taste better tomorrow. Like all chili.

I'd be interested in seeing some reader's versions of chili on the cheap. Perhaps made with something entirely different than kidney beans and salsa. How about Ketchup, garbanzo beans, and packets of leftover taco-bell hot salsas. Ay Carumba!
